





Asha Raghavendra from Karnataka has been selected as one of the finalists for the 2024 Mrs. India beauty pageant organized by the Glamanand Group. Born in Honnavar, Asha is currently based in Bengaluru. She holds two master’s degrees (Master’s Degree in Kannada and Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management) and is a wellness coach. As a Wellness Coach, she mentors and helps individuals to manage their health and well-being. This highly qualified wellness coach is a polyglot and can speak 4 languages including English, Hindi, Konkani and Kannada. In this exclusive interview with the Beauty High magazine, she talks about her preparations for the Mrs. India 2024 beauty pageant and her journey so far.
Q. Many congratulations to you for getting selected for the national finals of Mrs. India 2024 competition. How does it feel? What were the first thoughts that crossed your mind when you got the news that you have gotten selected to compete at the 2024 Mrs. India contest?
Answer: Thank you. I was not able to believe it at first. I was over joyed and jubilant. I had to pinch myself to make sure this was not a dream after finding out about the selection.
Q. Tell us more about the place you belong to.
Answer: I come from a small coastal town called Honnavar, on the banks of the river Sharavathi. The place is known for its rich costal cuisines and diverse landscapes.
Q. Please take us through the significant milestones in your life and how they have shaped you as the person you are today.
Answer: I went through open heart surgery at age of 14. But this still did not stop me from pursuing my dreams of becoming State level Table Tennis player. Post marriage I was blessed with twin boys. On top of taking care of my kids, I still had to work due to financial situation.
Q. What are your hobbies and areas of interests, and how do you manage them with the responsibilities that you shoulder?
Answer: As a Wellness Coach, I mentor and help others manage their health and well-being throughout the day. I follow a well-structured plan over the day, so that my personal commitments and responsibilities do not clash with this.
Q. Please tell us about your family and the role they play in your life
Answer: I have a loving husband and twin boys who have shaped me into the woman I am today. My 97 year-old mother-in-law also played a huge part into what I have become today by teaching me how to look after my family in a nice and caring way.
Q. Balancing personal, professional, and family responsibilities can be challenging. How do you manage this delicate balance in your life?
Answer: My family helps me a lot by shouldering some of the responsibilities. I also like to take some time off and listen to music whenever I can.
Q. What is the most crucial piece of advice that you would like to share with the women of this era?
Answer: Life is so beautiful white canvas. Let's paint a canvas with patience, happiness, love and positivity. Then the canvas turns into a beautiful and mesmerizing picture. With any hasty decisions and bad influence let's not scribble into canvas. Life is beautiful. Enjoy every moment of it.
