What a historic moment says Ram Charan of RRR's Naatu Naatu being nominated for an Academy Award.
As the lead singer of the RRR cast, actor Ram Charan is overjoyed that the film's original song, "Naatu Naatu," has been nominated for an Academy Award.
Charan and Jr. NTR are shown dancing their hearts out to "Naatu Naatu," which was written by MM Keeravaani, sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, and choreographed by Prem Rakshith.
Ram Charan posted a message on social media praising the RRR crew and declaring, "What a historic moment for the entire Indian Film Industry..." We are overjoyed to see #NaatuNaatu become the first Indian song to be nominated for an Oscar. It's all thanks to the vision and magic of @ssrajamouli Garu and @mmkeeravaani Garu..#RRRForOscars."
To be clear, RRR is not India's official Oscar submission for 2023; however, it has been submitted for consideration in a number of categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor.
