Following the many scandals that plagued Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's Besharam Rang from the upcoming action film Pathaan, YRF has released the second song from the film, titled "Jhoome Jo Pathaan." Not only does the dance track feature Deepika, but it also features SRK, a superstar, moving to the beat.
The video was shot in various beautiful European locations and included numerous costume changes set to a catchy Western tune. Arijit Singh provides the vocals for this piece. Shah Rukh and Deepika are seen dancing together to the song with a small group of dancers in the background. At the same time, Deepika wears a glamorous outfit, and Shah Rukh sports a more rugged one.
Director Siddharth Anand commented on the song, saying, "I knew from the beginning that we had to have Arijit Singh sing for Shah Rukh Khan in Jhoome Jo Pathaan. We wanted our country's most popular singer to perform for our country's most popular, long-lasting celebrity. SRK and Deepika let loose in this dance number, which features Arijit's charismatic voice."
After seeing Besharam Rang, several idiotic BJP leaders voiced their displeasure with Deepika Padukone's saffron-colored costume, sparking a controversy. Some religious leaders in Madhya Pradesh were so offended by the film's title that they tried to get it banned.
Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, was produced by Aditya Chopra and will open in theatres on January 25, 2023. The film will also be released in Tamil and Telugu.
