These ancient cities have seen human civilization evolve. There are hundreds and hundreds of ancient cities around the globe which have the oldest histories and refinement of culture throughout. Here is the list of those ancient cities which still portray the same ancient feel of the first human civilization.
Faiyum, Egypt: The modern Egyptian city of Faiyum occupies an area on the Nile River that has hosted human settlements for thousands of years, including the ancient city of Sheet. The city still portrays the ancient feel of 4000 decades ago.
Today, Faiyum is home to roughly 350,000 people. Jerusalem: Jerusalem is one of several cities that arose between 4,000 and 5,000 years ago in the thriving Levant region, but it holds a unique place in history as the nexus of three major religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Varanasi, India: According to Hindu legend, Varanasi is more than 5,000 years old and is considered the the oldest city in the world, though evidence of habitation only goes back about 3,000 years, according to the BBC. It is situated on the banks of sacred Ganges River, which also contributes the oldest feel throughout the city.
