The last time we met, we discussed the few pre pageant activities that were judged based on the elemental division done by the organisers, the finale top 20 and top 12 announcements and then the iconic hashtag round where the 8 qualifying ladies spoke on the hashtag given to them, all under the time limit of thirty seconds! The judges had to eliminate four out of these eight ladies, based on their hashtag round speech, to give us our top flour for the Miss Earth 2022 pageant. One of these four ladies would later go on to win the final title of Miss Earth 2022 while the other three will be each crowned as her elemental queens - Miss Air, Miss Fire and Miss Water! Without any further ado, lets look into the final parts of the Miss Earth Finale.
Before moving on to the announcement of the final four, our lovely Filipino-British host, James Hernandez Deakin cheerfully revealed the host country for the Miss Earth’s 2023 edition. The host country for ME’23 is none other than the beautiful, culturally rich pageant loving south east asian country of Vietnam. Vietnam is hosting many pageants in the upcoming year, and also, do not cancel us for this one but, they are also standing up against any drama loving, body shaming pageant organisations by, you know, cancelling their plans with them. Just wanted to remind y’all hehe. Love Vietnam, be like Vietnam! JAmes also revealed that the preparations for ME’23 pageant has already begun in Vietnam as early as now and we can expect a grand, oops not grand! An extravagant pageant for the next edition of Miss Earth. We sure do love Vietnam and the power of their production and glamour. The next edition sure looks promising and we are EXCITED!
Got a little too excited there, lets fly back into the present year - 2022. After the host country announcement, the sub contest winners of best eco video were announced, continent wise. We have already discussed the winner in the first part of this Miss Earth 2022 series so let us now move on to the final 4 announcements. The final four, in the order of their announcement were -
The final 4 ladies were made to wear headphones, so they could not hear the final question that was common between them, along with the answers given by the ladies before them. Each lady was given thirty seconds to answer one common question, that was -
“What is the one thing you want to write in this world, and how would you write it?”
The ladies were called in the order of their top 4 announcement and we have listed their answers for your reference down below. Starting with the Australian Taylor Swift -

One thing that i would write in this world are the wrongs done to our environment. For too long, it has gone unchecked and we are seeing the consequences of this. As someone who grew up in the countryside in Australia and got to travel my nation, living in a tent for fourteen months, I have seen first hand the impacts that climate change has on our beautiful nature, and so if i could write, i would beg that everybody please reconsider, and do your best to ace Climate conservation

Well, i think we should start writing about the human rights and about the real protection of the mother earth, equality, the way we treat human beings, we have to treat fauna and flora, we have to take care of the ecosystems and we have to realise that we are in our planet in our mother earth, which is just one home. So it's our responsibility to write about it and to make sure that we really take care of it not with talking but with actions.

I think i would want to fight the ignorance and selfishness of people, because i think that is the main problem that we are facing today, with all other issues including the environmental catastrophes that we are facing which are made from humans, so me personally, me environmental advocacy was launching an educational campaign with governmental and non governmental organisations in Palestine including the United Nations where i educated people about the dangers and i think that it starts with education and that's how we can really solve the selfishness and ignorance that we see in the world today and save planet earth.

If there's something I would correct in this world, it would be being empathetic. We often mistake kindness as being empathetic, but what being empathetic is really putting yourself in someone else's shoes and when it comes to climate issues and other issues in this world, one has to be empathetic. You need to really see how the other person perceives this world, you need to understand their pain by being in their shoes and that, I feel, differs from being empathetic. Kindness and empathetic can be different and if I get the chance to really define it differently that's how I would define it in the dictionary.
With that the Miss Earth competition officially ended and now it was all up to the judges to decide which of these gorgeous, inspiring young ladies gets to wear which of the four crowns.
Finally after a lot of chit chatting from the former queens, Mr. Host finally announced the Elemental queens, one by one. Starting with -
The Miss Earth Fire - Colombia - Andrea Aguilera
The outgoing Miss Earth Fire 2021 - Jareerat “Baitong” Petsom of Thailand passed on the beautiful red Miss Earth Fire crown to Andrea after sashing her as the new Miss Earth Fire.
Miss Earth Water - Palestine - Nadeen Ayoub
This gorgeous young PAlestinian queen was cronwed by none other than her predecessor’s predecessor - Miss Earth Philippines 2020 and the winner of Miss Earth Water crown at the first virtual Miss Earth 2020 pageant - Roxie Roxanne alongwith one of the directors. They lovingly placed the shiny blue stone crown on Nadeen’s head together.
That left us with the last two women standing - the fan favourite Miss Australia and the lovely Miss Korea. They were called on the centre of the stage for holding hands as the top 2 of the Miss Earth 2022 competition.
After building up a lot of curiosity and tension, Host James finally announced dramatically, the winner of the Miss Earth 2022 crown. The moment we had all been waiting for!
“Miss Earth 2022 is…. Korea!
This of course makes Miss Earth Air 2022 - Australia.”
Mina Sue Choi - Miss Korea and now our reigning Miss Earth was crowned and sashed by the outgoing queen - Destiny Wagner of Belize alongwith Mr. Ramon Monzon, while Miss Earth Air 2022 - Sheridan Mortlock Miss Australia was bestowed upon with the shiny golden Miss Earth Air crown by none other than Miss Earth Air 2016 - Michelle Gómez from Colombia.
We totally agree with James when he said this has been a very successful comeback for Miss Earth back on the offline stage! We loved every part of the competition, however, we do agree the pageant could do a little better production wise and the camera angles need to be given more attention too. But regardless, the next edition in Vietnam will definitely serve us what we crave better and we are totally looking forward to the next edition. See ya later folks!
